About this tool

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide dimensions like 14 ft 7-3/8 in with big touch-friendly keys.

How to use

Tap digits, the foot/inch keys, and fraction presets to build a dimension (e.g. 14′ 7 3/8″), then tap an operator and build the next one. Press = for the result, copy it, copy decimal feet, or push the measurement straight into your estimate as a reference line.

How the math works

All arithmetic runs in integer 16ths of an inch no floating-point drift, fractions stay exact.

Every result shows the reduced fraction plus decimal inches, decimal feet, and metric equivalents.

Operations evaluate left to right (× and ÷ have no precedence) the same way chain calculators work.

Formula

14' 7-3/8" + 9' 11-1/2" = 24' 6-7/8"

Common questions

▸How do you add feet and inches with fractions?

Enter a dimension like 14' 7-3/8", tap +, enter the next dimension, and press =. The keypad does all math in integer 16ths of an inch, so the reduced-fraction result is exact, not rounded.

▸How do you convert inches to feet and inches?

Every result shows the reduced fraction plus decimal inches, decimal feet, and metric equivalents, so one entry gives you feet-inches, decimal, and metric at once.

▸Why do my phone calculator results differ by a 16th?

Phone calculators use floating-point decimals, so errors like 0.1 + 0.2 accumulate across chained cuts. This keypad works in integer 16ths of an inch, the same way you would work it on paper, so fractions stay exact.

▸Can I chain calculations, like adding three wall lengths?

Yes. After pressing =, tap an operator to continue from the last result, or keep building expressions left to right. Recent calculations are saved on the device for the day.

▸How do I enter something like 9' 11-1/2"?

Tap 9, the ft key, 1, 1, the 1/2 preset, and the in key. The display reads your entry back as a live dimension preview so you can verify it before pressing =.
